Computed tomography (CT) is an X-ray examination that can be used to create layered images of the human body. The Cytom 16 from SternMed GmbH can dissolve a consid- erable minimum layer thickness of 0.625 mm. The fields of application in medicine are very diverse. They range from ECG synchronized images of the heart, to the emergency examination of the most seriously injured, to bone density measurement by the pivoting gantry.
