SternMed GmbH is gaining attention with their dedicated fight against the coronavirus. The Schwäbische Zeitung reported on August 13th 2020.

“ Due to chronical under-monetized healthcare systems especially African countries have way too less medicinal devices. Mali for example is owning four ventilators for 18 million Inhabitants, according to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Simbabwes capitol Harare with its approximately one and a half million inhabitants has access to only one ventilator.

A company from Ravensburg want to help, changing that. The SternMed GmbH came to an agreement with the United Nations, to deliver ventilators over a long period of time. […] The advantage of the medium-sized company: All of the big competitors have long delivery times, says CEO Ralf Triebe.”
